The First Baptist Riders met on November 12th at 6:00 for it’s first regular meeting. Twelve members were present. This past year was reviewed as old business. Setting a regular meeting night and several rides were discussed in new business. Those present approved meeting each 2nd Thursday night in the Student Center of First Baptist Church of Church Hill. The following rides were discussed.

Jim Morris suggested a camping trip to possibly to Key West Fl. and a ride to St. Jude’s to raise money for the hospital. This would be scheduled in October. It might be in conjunction with other riders. This would be a two day trip riding half way and staying the night. The next day the ride would continue to St. Jude’s and return to the same motel that night. Jim has been asked to be chairman over details of this trip.

For the benefit of working riders, Saturday trips have been suggested. Possible rides to West Va., Lake Lure, and Chimney Rock.

Dave Moore suggested an Outer Banks ride and a camping/motel ride to be discussed at the next meeting. He suggested that the Sunday rides be left as is. Rides will leave from the Church at 1:00 with whomever is there to ride.

A possible ride to Sturgis S.D. was discussed. This would not be during the Sturgis rally. Going in May between the 9th and 30th was suggested.

The possibility of Friday night Dinner rides was suggested by Jim Morris.

Donations to pay the current fees for this years web site fees was successful in catching it up. Possible dues of $10.00 per year was discussed. This would be used to pay any club expenses including $110.00 annual fee for the web site. Any unneeded dues may be used for donations in the clubs name.

Earl Hood discussed future improvements to the web site. A blog to allow member comments, swap shop ads and more pictures and descriptions of rides will be included in the site soon. Jim Morris was elected as the club reporter and Pete Rambo was elected as secretary to take minutes. Both will be helping to get info on the site quicker.

A summer cookout was discussed. Dates for this will be discussed at later meetings.
